Synthroid is a hormone replacement therapy

Synthroid is composed of the drug molecule called levothyroxine, which is used as replacement therapy for the hormone secretion formed by thyroid glands in the body. The work of the hormone is to adjust the function of certain part of the body and the metabolism system. Synthroid is indicated in patients with impaired thyroid gland functioning that are deficient in producing the hormone.

The drug is used for the management of conditions of low level of thyroid hormone, which is hypothyroidism.  Synthroid is found to be effective in the prevention and treatment of inflated thyroid glands or goiter. This condition is the result of imbalance situations of hormones or happens during radiation treatment or in surgery or in cancer. The drug is prohibited for the use of control and treatment of weight gain.

Synthroid is taken normally because everybody needs the hormone. However, patients with history of heart failure, thyroid disorder or thyrotoxicosis, problems with adrenal glands do not receive any improvement with the intake of this medication.

You should undergo certain examinations before taking Synthroid and disclose to the doctor about your heart, liver, kidney disease or anemia, diabetes or problems of pituitary glands and clotting of blood. Patients on oral insulin intake should get the dosage adjusted with the consultation with the doctor. You should not change brands of the drug molecule but continue the same brand throughout the medication.

You will find improvements showing after several weeks of medication with Synthroid and hence you should not leave the course in the middle of the Synthroid therapy. It may be needed that this drug is to be continued for the entire life of a patient to fulfill the demand of the hormone in the body where there is definite deficiency of the hormone production.

There are certain drugs which may interfere with Synthroid therapy. Hence, you should tell the doctor about all other drugs and medicines that you take including the OTC products.

Synthroid is a well known drug and at the same time it is widely considered as the best option for most of the strange diseases that you might come along. It is always advised to buy these drugs at a Canadian pharmacy, as you can save a lot of time and money. You can click here to buy Synthroid online

Can thyroid hormone replacement medicine make your hair break?

I was under the impression that being hypothyroid made your hair weak and that medicine would make it grow stronger and faster. Well I suffer from a very mild case of hypothyroidism. My hair was very thick and pretty even while having hypo symptoms. Now all of a sudden, a few months after taking levoxyl and natural thyroid extract, my hair is falling out! The doctor has yet to call me back, what do I do? I am freaked out. I have continued to gain weight and my thyroid is HUGE. I am not sure if I am perhaps on too high a dose or too low a dose of medicine.

Low Testosterone Treatments. How To Get The Right Hormone Replacement

Looking for a low testosterone treatment ? Low libido, male andropause, male menopuase, believe it or not boys, are all ever concerning signs of low testosterone coming on. This is when a low testosterone treatment is required. It really is a sad fact for one to come to the realisation that the sudden lack of sex drive, the sudden putting on of weight, loss of energy, loss of energy to do things, all comes from low testosterone. When this happens, the reality of a low testosterone treatment, or testosterone replacement therapy becomes a reality. Many males don’t even realise the change happening as they are ageing. Everyone just suddenly wonders ” why don’t I feel like having sex anymore as much as I use to ” That’s a common question one would ask their doctor. One of those causes is low testosterone.

There is of course in todays technology hormone replacement for men which has helped thousands of males re-coup their once active lifestyles. A low testosterone treatment can very much restore what use to be a normal lifestyle. No one has to suffer from male menopause anymore. Even low lobido no longer has to be tolerated with hormone replacement therapy readily available with some of the easiest applications that are available

There are many different forms of testosterone replacement therapy’s today

Testosterone injections

_39855490_injection203.jpg Testosterone-Compound-Injection.jpg

  • Doses, every two to four weeks or longer
  • Major rush after the initial injection; some men like really enjoy the sudden feeling of well being
  • Injection are on of the cheaper forms of testosterone replacement therapy

Disadvantages of injectable testosterone:

  • Because testosterone is injected, dosages at first are  very high, much higher than  non-treated men.
  • As the testosterone depletes over time, levels decrease below normal levels.
  • Being an injection it can be painful.
  • The up’s and down’s of the injections can cause high and low moods whent it comes to sex drive.

As there are injections, there are other forms of testosterone replacement therapy’s

such as Testosterone pellets. These too have their positive and negative effects

There are also Testosterone pills, patches, and gels.

These methods of course are far more easier to apply than injections, which are also painful. The Low Testosterone guide can help with further information on various testosterone replacement therapies. They can also assist with Australian males in Sydney.

Testosterone Therapy—the Super Formula for Anti-Aging

What would you do if you were given an opportunity to turn back the time and look ten years younger? Old age is inevitable; we all believe it’s true. But feeling old is something in our very own hands. Feeling aged and exhausted way before time is something to really worry about, it is somewhat like a full-stop to all the activities requiring energy…and it’s a fact that no one likes being old. Following are some symptoms of aging a person might face:
• Memory loss
• decreased libido and sperm production
• unbalanced Cholesterol Level
• loss of bone density and muscle mass
• weight gain
• Less red blood cells production
• reduced energy levels
• mood changes and depression
• increased risk of cancer and diabetes
The root cause for all these symptoms is not the old age itself, but the decrease of “life hormones” in human body that causes the actual problem. These are the testosterone hormones and some other growth hormones. Here in this article, we will discuss testosterone and how it can prevent from aging.
A person’s body testosterone level hits the highest point during puberty and early adulthood. In the later life, body produces less testosterone. Mostly men face this problem of a fair decline in the testosterone level. Women have fewer complications in this matter. The good news is that with Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), lower-than-normal testosterone levels can be regulated and modified. This therapy boosts the testosterone hormones, fighting back the old age. With increase in your testosterone Hormones you can gain control of your life by retaining the aging process and raising your energy levels.
With increasing age, the one thing that mostly affects men and women equally is the lack of sexual performance. If you want to maintain the lust of a man, all you need is a stable and consistent testosterone level, as this basic hormone enhances and maintains male sex organs and other sex characteristics. Having insufficient testosterone level may make you feel restless, cause decline in strength, and ultimately affect your sex life.
Obesity is another threat to physical fitness; it’s a condition of being over-weight. Being larger in size than you should normally be causes your body to function slowly. You feel tired and worn out all the time, just like an old person. In the US, number of obese is increasing at an alarming rate. Obesity lowers the amount of testosterone in human body, and makes it unable for the body to metabolize the amounts of high calories consumed from unhealthy foods. This unhealthy situation can be controlled by giving patient a testosterone treatment. It reduces body fats and tones it up, giving a younger and fresher look and feel to the body.

Tongkat Ali – the Nature’s Answer to Steroids

Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia), also called Longjack and Pasak Bumi, is a tree that grows in Malaysia and Indonesia. The root of this tree has been used in these regions for many years as an aphrodisiac and to treat various sexual dysfunctions. Scientific research in recent years has shown support for the libido enhancing and sexual health qualities of this herb.

One of the original uses of this herb was as a malaria medication. Its use as an aphrodisiac and sexual function enhancer was a fortunate side effect of this original use. It was used for years without any knowledge of what brought about the improvement in sexual desire and function. Research soon looked at the possible causes for these positive results.

Tongkat Ali has been shown to increase the body’s natural production of testosterone, the male sex hormone. Testosterone is responsible for the development of the male sex organs and maintaining the health of those organs. It is also responsible for the male sex drive and secondary sex characteristics such as facial hair and enlarging of the larynx (resulting in deepening of the voice.) Females need testosterone as well, although not in as large a quantity as males. Testosterone is responsible for a healthy sex drive in women and increases the sensitivity of the erogenous zones. Both males and females need testosterone to help stimulate the metabolism, support fat burning, produce red blood cells and stimulate muscle growth.

Studies have shown that Tongkat Ali does have a libido enhancing effect on animals, and recently the same has been shown in human trials. The increase in testosterone brings about an increase in sex drive, improvement in sexual function, and reversal of some erectile dysfunction issues. One study found behavioral changes in rats that were given Tongkat Ali. Instead of roaming and exploring the cage like other rats, the ones given the herb stayed closer to the females. Ladies, this probably doesn’t mean that your man will join you in the kitchen for dishes or sit down for a nice heart to heart, but he may want to spend more “quality” time with you. Women who take this herbal supplement may notice an increase in libido as well, resulting in true “quality” time.

The testosterone enhancing qualities of Tongkat Ali are also of interest to the bodybuilding community. Testosterone is an important hormone in building muscle mass and strength. Testosterone production normally begins to drop off after thirty years of age. This leads to a slowing of the metabolism, loss of muscle mass, lower energy levels, and decrease in sex drive and function. With all of these issues related to decreased testosterone production it is no wonder people look for ways to keep testosterone levels up. Those interested in building more muscle mass are especially interested in boosting testosterone levels. The increase in sex drive is a welcome side benefit for most.

Many men and women with decreased sex drive or other sexual dysfunction issues seek help from their physician. One common treatment is to use testosterone replacement therapy. This involves injecting testosterone into the body to replace that which the body no longer produces. The problem with this approach is that the body reads the new level of testosterone and no longer strives to make its own. This approach does not correct the underlying problem of reduced production. Herbal supplementation that supports the body’s own production of testosterone, such as Tongkat Ali use, may help to correct this problem.

Herbal supplements generally are safer than pharmaceutical or hormonal therapies. However, Tongkat Ali does carry some possible side effects, especially with larger doses. These include restlessness, insomnia, anxiety and a slight decrease in immune functions. It is important to start out with small doses and only increase if no side effects are noted.
